Not sure what to expect from therapy?
I provide a confidential, non-judgemental space for you to become more self-aware and develop in your own unique way. As you'll have your own unique reasons for therapy, I encourage you to have an initial assessment session with me so that you get a feel for whether I'm the right therapist for you, and for me to find out more about your needs and personal situation.
I work with people from all backgrounds and have an interest in working with people from an Asian and/or Muslim background. I have a particular focus on helping with depression, anxiety, LGBT / sexuality issues, cultural issues, loss and bereavement.
I'm particularly interested in:
helping form or strengthen your own individual narrative and identity
looking at how the unconscious and childhood is impacting on the present
helping address the symptoms of anxiety (such as racing thoughts, disassociation and panic attacks), as well as work away at the root causes (which can stem from past traumas and other events)
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), with the following qualifications:
advanced diploma in Humanistic Integrative Counselling
foundation certificate in Transactional Analysis (TA)
certificate in Online and Telephone Counselling accredited by ACTO
I undergo ongoing supervision and professional training to ensure that I continue to practise to high standards.
I have been practising since 2016. Previously I spent several years working voluntarily as a counsellor at the Old Court House surgery in Barnet and CPPD counselling school in Hornsey.
55 pounds per 50-minute session. I offer a reduced rate of 45 pounds for students and those on a low income.
I charge for all sessions, including the initial session (assessment).
