Not sure what to expect from therapy?
As you'll have your own unique reasons for therapy, I encourage you to have an initial assessment session to find out whether I'm the right therapist for you, and for me to find out more about your needs.
I primarily offer eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, sometimes in combination with counselling. EMDR is an evidence-based treatment originally developed to address PTSD, but is now used for an increasingly broad range of difficulties. For trauma, it's effective for single events (such as a one-off assault, dog attack or road traffic accident) as well as more complex, repeated trauma. Find out more about EMDR on the APA website.
I work with people from all backgrounds. I have a focus on working with anxiety, trauma, PTSD, phobias, LGBT / sexuality issues, and cultural issues for people from a south Asian background.
I provide a confidential, non-judgemental space for you to become more self-aware and develop in your own unique way.
I have been practising since 2016 and am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
